Information Literacy Issues

I think this is a good infographic for parents and teachers to understand the role of a school librarian.  While website evaluation is introduced to the 9th graders, it takes the full 4 years to really understand it.  I think the nature of the IB Curriculum is to question and analyze all sources in all classes.  I'm glad that the IBO values the importance of school libraries being the hub of the school and the center of the curriculum.  Schools that get rid of librarians are getting rid of the expert in information literacy skills.  It's a big job to teach students how to evaluate sources of information and it takes more than 1 class period to develop this skill.
